H. Kirby -- Mrs. Annie Louise, wife of Capt. W.H. Kirby, died at the residence of her husband Thursday morning, at 4 o'clock, after a lingering illness of several months, in the 44th year of her age. Mrs. Kirby was the daughter of the late Capt. Jos. Baker and had resided in this town the greater part of her life. She leaves besides her husband, two sons, Messrs. Joseph and Johnnie Kirby, to mourn their loss. Her funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the Armstrong Memorial Church and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. Wm. A. Slaymaker, assisted by Rev. Dr. Armstrong. Her remains were interred in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers; Judge George D. Parker, Dr. G.W. Wallace, Geo. R. Hare, A. Lochrich, L.O. Jones, T.C. Humphries, S.N. Lyons and Wm. Clarke.
