Norfolk Landmark June 26 & 27, 1894
                      Fatal Accident at Pinner's Point
On Saturday, a white coal heaver named Kirk, employed on the Old Dominion 
steamship Roanoke, while bathing in the river at Pinner's Point, was drowned. The 
body was recovered yesterday morning and Dr. Truitt, the County Coroner, held an 
inquest, the verdict being accidental drowning. The body was turned over to 
Messrs. Gaskins & Sturtevant for burial.

- The young man whose death by drowning at Pinner's Point was recorded in 
yesterday's issue, was named Fred Kirkhouse, instead of Kirk.
