D. Oliver Funeral Apts today at noon. Rabbi Joseph Schecter and Rabbi Israel Bornstein of B'Nai Israel Congregation will officiate. Burial will be in Khal Chasedim (B'Nai Israel) Cemetery. The family will be at 408 Hariton St. Born in Poland, he lived in Norfolk 21 years, lately at 524 Washington Park. He was president of Joseph Klein Company which operated stores in the Norfolk area. He was past president of B'Nai Israel Congregation and was long active in Jewish life of the community. He served on the executive committee of the Jewish Community Council and was past chairman of the United Jewish Fund, a member of B'Nai Brith, honorary vice president of Tidewater Hebrew Academy, and a past president of Arnold Gamsey Lodge of A.Z.A. Klein, whose wife died some years ago, is survived by two sons, Benjamin Klein of Los Angeles and Larry Klein of Newport News; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Freeman and Mrs. Enger Trieff of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Rose Hecht of Norfolk; two brothers, Alexander Klein of Norfolk and Harold Klein of New York; and nine grandchildren.
