He had been a resident of this section for a number of years and for a long time kept a summer garden on Church street. In later years he had been in the real estate and rental business and had considerable property of his own. He leaves a widow and five children — Mrs. Hugo Arnold, Mrs. Ernest Hartman, Miss Emma Klepper, Joseph D. Klepper and Frank Klepper, the last named being yet a lad. The deceased was about 65 years of age and was a veteran of the Union Army. He was a member of Worden Post, G.A.R. and of Huntersville Lodge, I.O.O.F. At one time he was a member of the American Legion of Honor and carried an insurance of $5,000 in that order. He reduced the original amount of this policy and recently dropped out of the order altogether. The funeral will take place from his late residence at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon and will be attended by the organizations of which he was a member.
