The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday September 27, 1939
Mrs. Matilda Jane Knapp, aged 78, wife of C.N. Knapp, died at her residence at 
London Bridge last night at 6:30 o'clock after a short illness. Mrs. Knapp was 
a native of Little River, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada, and had been 
a resident of this section for a number of years. She was the daughter of 
David and Mrs. Sarah Anne McDonald DeLong. Surviving her, besides her husband, 
is a son, Floyd T. Deary, of London Bridge.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the 
funeral chapel of James V. Derry, corner of Colley and Harrington Avenues. The 
Rev. W.J. Meade, pastor of the London Bridge Baptist Church will officiate. 
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
