NORFOLK — Edward Alan Knewstep Sr., 78, of 505 Roland Drive, former Norfolk 
policeman for 16 years and also an ILA Local 1624 employee, died Tuesday night in 
his home.
A native of Poquoson, he was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was the 
husband of the late Mrs. Lucille Sanderlin Knewstep.
Survivors include a son, Edward A. Knewstep Jr. of Norfolk; and three 
grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
