He was 21 years old, unmarried and lived with his relatives, B and Eighteenth streets, South Norfolk. The deceased was well known, highly esteemed and in addition to his relatives he is survived by a large number of friends. The remains were moved to his home and prepared for burial by Funeral Director E. Lee Cox and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The time for the funeral services had not been fixed last night and will be announced later. In connection with his death was a rumor that he was electrocuted. KNIGHT, son of J.M. Knight, and survived by father, five sisters and brother. Funeral from residence D and 18th streets, South Norfolk. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery, Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. ******** The funeral of the late John Knight, who died suddenly at the power plant of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Traction Company, Portsmouth, Sunday morning, was conducted from the family residence, D and Eighteenth streets, South Norfolk, yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. Rev. W.A. Smith, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, officiated and the interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The funeral was to have taken place Monday afternoon, but a question was raised as to the actual cause of death, it being contended by some of his friends that he had been electrocuted, instead of dying from heart trouble.
