Norfolk Virginian August 14, 1877
                        DEATH OF MRS. ANN E. KNIGHT.
We are pained exceedingly to announce the death of this excellent and venerable 
lady, which occurred Sunday at her residence on Church street, after a lingering 
illness. Her funeral took place yesterday from St. Luke's Church, the Rev. Dr. 
Okeson and Rev. Dr. Newton officiating. Mrs. Knight was one of the most kindly and 
charitable ladies in our city. None in need ever left her door without receiving 
assistance and a pleasant word. Her good deeds were many, and her memory will be 
long revered by those who knew her.
