Virginian-Pilot January 17, 1930
Charles C. Knight, aged 55, native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday morning at 7 o'clock at a local hospital. He was formerly a deputy high 
constable of the city and, at the time of his death, was employed as a collector 
for Thompson-Etheridge & Co., real estate dealers. Surviving him are one son, 
Charles C. Knight, Jr., and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Joynes, of Norfolk. 
Services will be held at H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason 
street, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
