NORFOLK - Jane Wilmoth Knight, 64, of the 8500 block of Tidewater Drive, a 
retired telephone operator, died May 8, 1989, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Knight, a native of Richmond, was retired from The Virginian-Pilot and The 
Ledger-Star after 18 years. She was the widow of Kenneth R. Knight and a member 
of Christ the King Catholic Church and Ladies Auxiliary, Elks Lodge 38, B.P.O.E.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine M. Knight of Norfolk, two sons, Kenneth 
S. Knight of Richmond and John P. Knight of Zuni, a sister, Betty Kluga of Ponce 
Inlet, Fla.; and two brothers, Robert W. Wilmoth of Cincinnati, and Charles B. 
Wilmoth, of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Joseph Patrick Lehman. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Cemetery. A Christian wake will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
