Virginian Pilot February 17, 1991

Gene A. Knight, of the 3200 block of Vernon Ave., a construction worker, died 
Feb. 14, 1991, in a hospital.
Mr. Knight, a native of Norfolk, had been a singer with the Showmans.
Survivors include two daughters, Alicia Upshur and Andrea Knight; three sons, 
Ronald G. Valentine, LaSalle Knight and Shawn Knight; a sister, Yvonne Winborne; 
and a brother, Dorsey Knight, all of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Graves Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Lawrence Knight. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may join the 
family at the residence.
