Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 12, 1990 
Mary Lee Knockett died Dec. 7, 1990, in her home.

Survivors include six daughters, Mamie Mabine of Roxbury, Nina Knockett of
Surprise, Ariz., and Barbara Johnson, Ethylen Skinner, Doris Spratley and Bessie
Harvey, all of Norfolk; a son, James E. Knockett of Norfolk; two sisters, Martha
Cox and Lillie M. Dixon; and three brothers, George Dixon, Richard Dixon and
Raymond Dixon, all of Kinston, N.C.; 39 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren
and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Olive Grove Baptist Church,
Norfolk, by the Rev. E.W. Woodbury. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends
may join the family at 825 Elkin St., Norfolk. Community Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
