Mrs. Knockett was a member of New Hope COGIC Church and its choir and Usher Board. Survivors include her husband, James Knockett; a daughter, Deborah Richardson of Bronx, N.Y.; six sons, James R. Knockett and Edward K. Knockett, both of Sterling, Va., Samuel E. Knockett, Terry Kockett, and Michael Knockett, all of Norfolk, and Ricardo Knockett of California; her mother, Frances Mitchell; and 14 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Hope COGIC by Dr, Herman Clark. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Graves Funeral Home. The family will be at the residence.
