Tyrone Knox, Sr., age 64, of 1525 Hopkins Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died on 
Friday, June 15, 2018, in the comfort of his home.

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the 
Eastern Star Church of God in Christ, Elizabeth City, NC. A viewing will take 
place at the funeral home on Monday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Tyrone leaves to celebrate his memories: loving wife, Valerie J. Knox, of the 
home; two children, Tyrone Knox, Jr., (Chari) of Charlotte, NC and Sabrina Knox 
of Chesapeake, VA; siblings, Gerald Knox (Beatrice) of Norfolk, VA, Anna Marie 
Knox of Norfolk, VA and Debra Knox Birts (Isadore) of Locust Grove, Ga; two 
sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, 
nephews, cousins and friends. Expressions of Love can be sent to

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Knox and 
connected families by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations.
