                            KOCHENDERFER, RUTH J.
Mrs. Ruth Jamison Kochenderfer, age 92, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, in a local 
hospital. She was the widow of Leon Kochenderfer. Mrs. Kochenderfer was a member 
of Raleigh Court United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and 
Mission Studies. She was a chartered member of the SPCA of the Roanoke Valley, a 
member of King's Daughter Circle of Cheer, and WCTU. She was a retired executive 
director of the YWCA. Surviving is one daughter, Mary K. Kochenderfer, of 
Roanoke; a number of nieces and one nephew. In lieu of flowers, the family 
requests that memorials be made to the SPCA of Roanoke Valley. Services will be 
at 12 noon, Friday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with the Rev. Donald H. Traylor 
and Dr. Theodore E. Landis officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen 
Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke.
