Virginian-Pilot August 27, 1940
Mrs. Roselle Koerner, aged 59 years, widow of William F. Koerner, died at 3:25 
o’clock yesterday morning at a local hospital.
Mrs. Koerner was a native of St. Louis and had been a resident of Norfolk for 
the past 22 years, residing at 211 East Ocean View avenue at the time of her 
death.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. M. C. Bennett, of Wisconsin, Mrs. Joseph 
Polisky, of Annapolis, Md., and Mrs. A. C. Roffe, of Norfolk; four sons, K. B. 
Koerner, of Norfolk County; W. J. Koerner, of Norfolk, Edward J. Finan, of 
Philadelphia, and J. W. Finan, of St. Louis; her mother, Mrs. Mary Steffen, of 
St. Louis, and eight grandchildren.
Remains were removed to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, pending arrangements.
