A native of Norfolk, she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was the widow of Robert N. Koolage and a daughter of Mrs. William B. Roper and the late Mr. Roper. She was a member of the boards of Lydia H. Roper Home and Child and Family Service and a 40-year-member of the board of Norfolk City Union of King's Daughters. She was a member of Daisy Chain Circle of King's Daughters and active in Women's Society of Epworth Methodist Church, which she attended many years. Surviving, besides her mother, are a daughter, Mrs. Frederik H. Forsberg of Norfolk; a son, Robert N. Koolage Jr. of Richmond; two sisters, Miss Lydia B. Roper of Virginia Beach and Mrs. King Whitney of Norfolk; and five grandchildren. The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Owen T. Kelly. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to the memorial fund of King's Daughters Children's Hospital.
