NORFOLK - Robert Newton Koolage, 78, of 1210 Brandon Ave., a churchman and a 
former vice president of the real estate firm of C. H. Ferrell & Co., died 
Tuesday in a hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he was a lifelong resident of this area. He was the husband 
of Mrs. Elizabeth Roper Koolage and a son of Charles Warren and Mrs. Indiana 
Halstead Koolage.
He was a trustee of Epworth Methodist Church, a member and former president of 
Wesleymen Class, and a former chairman of the church administrative board.
Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frederick H. Forsberg of 
Norfolk; a son, Robert N. Koolage Jr. of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. T. Handford 
Cruser Jr. of Norfolk and Mrs. Ernest W. House of Charlottesville; and five 
grandchildren.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Epworth Methodist Church 
by the Rev. Owen T. Kelly. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family has 
requested that flowers be omitted and those who desire may contribute to the 
Epworth church fund.
