Portsmouth - Joseph Kostopulos, 60, of 3 Lawrence Circle, Apartment 2, died
Monday in a hospital

Mr. Kostopulos, a native of Portsmouth, had retired from the food sales division
of V. H. Monette and Co.  He was a member of Greek Orthodox Church of the
Annunciation in Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Baly Kostopulos;  a daughter, Christine Irwin,
and a son, Peter Frederick Kostopulos, both of Portsmouth;  and a brother,
Nicholas P. Kostopulos of Alexandria.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Greek Orthodox Church of the
Annunciation by the Rev. Charles Goumenis.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Cemetery, Norfolk.

A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in Snellings Funeral Home,
Churchland Chapel.  Memorial donations may be sent to the church.
