VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Aranka G. Kovacs, 85, of Route 4, died in her home 
Tuesday.
She was the widow of Charles A. Kovacs Sr. and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Anthony Horvath.
A native of Kisaratos, Hungary, she lived here 53 years. She was a member of St. 
Matthew’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rose K. Laytay, Mrs. Ethel Rose Woody, and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Marks of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Goldie Davis of Jamul, Calif.; 
three sons, Charles A. Kovacs Jr., Emery Kovacs, and Sam Kovacs of Virginia 
Beach; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The Office of the Dead will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, 
tonight at 6:45.
A funeral service will be held in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church Friday at 11 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
