Josephine Petrik Kozik, 78, formerly of the 1200 block of Little Bay Ave., died at 
Pinewood Retirement Inn in Norfolk on Feb. 21, 2001.

She was the loving wife of Chester J. Kozik, who passed away in December 1994; 
devoted mother of three daughters, and until her decline in health over the past 
several years, a lifelong caretaker of a disabled daughter.

Mrs. Kozik was born in Plymouth, Pa., and spent many years as a volunteer at 
Leisure Lounge, which provided a place for the disabled to socialize after their 
physical therapy. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Christine K. Van Horne of Philadelphia, Pa., 
Diane K. Smith of Lebanon, Ohio, and Denise L. Kozik of Norfolk; two siblings, 
Irene Pincofski of Nanticoke, Pa., and John Petrik of Plymouth; and three 
grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Father Wayne Ball. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's 
Catholic Cemetery.
