Kraemer took the Richmond post with VEPCO in November 1956, after serving as district sales supervisor in Norfolk for many years. He attended Norfolk schools and was graduated with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1924. He became associated with VEPCO in 1926 as staff engineer of system sales in Norfolk. Then he was transferred to Petersburg and Richmond, returning to Norfolk in the mid-'30s. He was the husband of Mrs. Gwendolyn Wright Kraemer and a son of the late Jacob and Mrs. Lillian H. Kraemer. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk and, after moving to Richmond, became a member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church there. Besides his wife, surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Emily Sue Kraemer Kitchen of Alexandria, and one brother, J. Vance Kraemer of Norfolk. A memorial service will be held at Grace Covenant Church, Richmond, today at 1 p.m. The body will be brought to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments and taken to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service at the grave Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Edward H. Jones, D.D., pastor of First Presbyterian Church.
