Noreen was born in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Henry and Rose Berens. Noreen is now with the love of her life, Jesus, The Blessed Virgin Mary and her loving husband, Jerry, and her beautiful daughter, Kathy. Noreen was very active to the day she died. Wednesday was hair day for her and as bad as she was feeling that day, she got her hair done. She wanted to look her best all the time, even to the time she passed. Noreen worked as a Civil Servant for over 20 years and the only reason she retired was to be a care giver to her daughter, Kathy, who passed away from cancer two years ago. Noreen was a very active member of the Knights of Columbus and Alhambra for many years. That is where she met some incredible people, who became some of her best friends, whom she loved dearly. Noreen was also in charge and directed many of the Alhambra musical shows for the Alhambra Conventions. She truly enjoyed those years and so many laughs. Noreen also was the organist and choir director for St. Pius School. And yes, she loved The Washington Football Team and also Old Dominion Basketball. She was such a Godly woman; everyday she prayed for her family and said the Rosary for protection and to thank God for all blessings. But our Mom, Auntie or Nanny was our Rock. Her greatest love of all was her family. Her love was unconditional. She never missed a ball game, concert, graduation or recital or whatever was going on from her kids to her grandkids to her great-grandkids. She will truly be missed! Noreen had one big passion in her life that she loved more than anything! That was The Holidays and special events. Christmas, Birthdays, Easter, Thanksgiving and anything that would get the family together. She truly loved that, and boy, did she love her family. The one thing she asked before her passing was to never let this tradition stop or she would be haunting us, and you didn't want to be on her bad side. I can't say it enough, she loved her family! Left with so many great memories to cherish are her brother, David Berens; her sons, Rick Kresinske, Jamie Kresinske and his wife, Sherry; nephew, Jeffery Berens and his wife, Theresa; nieces, Michelle Berens, Debbie Poyle and her husband, Ross; grandchildren, Brett Cambron and his wife, Tiffany, Kyle Cambron and his wife, Melanie, Ricky Kresinske and his wife, Megan, Trae Kresinske and his wife, Madelyn, Kandis Hern and her husband, Darien, Sydney Kresinske; great-niece, Cheyanne Richardson and her husband, Shan. Her great-grandchildren are Ava and Kasen Cambron, Macklin, Remi and Chapman Hern and Felicity Kresinske. Our family and friends lost one incredible, loving lady but gained an angel in heaven. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 4th at St. Pius X Catholic Church. A private family interment will be conducted in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Seating will be limited. Please arrive 30 min early for a tribute of Noreen's life. Services will also be live-streamed at www.piusxparish.org. Please, if attending, wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. is handling arrangements.
