Virginian-Pilot April 18, 1940
Mrs. Margaret Searls Krider, aged 79, widow of Mathias Krider and daughter of 
George and Mrs. Annie Kavanaugh Searls, died at 2 o’clock, yesterday morning at 
her residence, 739 East Twenty-seventh street. She was a native of Norfolk and had 
been a resident of this section most of her life. She is survived by one sister, 
Mrs. James T. Holland, of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews, of Newport 
News.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.	
Rosary services will be held at the residence tonight at 8 o’clock.
