A native of Detroit, he lived in this area 35 years. He worked for the Norfolk Water Department 20 years. Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Clara Turner of Churchland, Chesapeake. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. James E. Belvin of Community Baptist Church. The body will be taken there from Twiford Funeral Home, Norfolk. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
