Phyllis B. Kurowski, 55, of Virginia Beach, VA, died July 2, 2006. She was born in 
Norfolk, VA, and was the daughter of Virginia W. Thatch and the late Phillip 
Thatch. She was a homemaker and member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. 
Besides her mother, Phyllis is survived by her husband, Michael W. Kurowski; two 
sisters, Annette Griffin of Smithfield, VA and Cathy Black of Virginia; and one 
brother, Buddy Thatch of Newport News, VA. All services are private with Hollomon-
Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered
