John A. Lacey died Sunday, Feb. 15, at his home, 1234 Chapel street, after a 
long illness.  Funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on 
Wednesday morning Feb. 18.  Rosary services were held the previous day at 
Morning Glory Funeral Home.

Mr. Lacey, a native of Norfolk, was a member of St. Joseph’s church, the Holy 
Name Society, the Third Order of St. Francis, the Eureka Lodge and the Oriole 
Social club.  He retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center several years ago.

He is survived by one son, John L. Lacey of Englewood, NJ;  three daughters, 
Mrs. Sarah Williams and Mrs. Peggy Madison of New York City;  Mrs. Francis 
Mitchell of San Diego, CA;  seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a 
brother, Joseph T. Lacey of Norfolk, three nephews, a niece and other relatives.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
