Mrs. Lacey was born in Norfolk. She was a retired nurse's assistant with Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. She was a member of Basilica of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception, Norfolk, and the Justice and Peace Committee. She was a graduate of the first graduating class of St. Joseph's High School and was the widow of Joseph Lacey. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Hinton of Norfolk and Josephine Harris of Fort Washington, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Rita Lacey of Beverly, Mass.; a sister, Teresa Watts of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 23 nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Basilica of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception by the Rev. Walter Barrett. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Viewing will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The family will assemble at 5521 Berry Hill Road (Poplar Halls) at 11 a.m. for the processional. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
