Laforme died yesterday morning at 1:30 o'clock after a lingering illness of several weeks of pneumonia, at her home, 913 Liberty street. The deceased was 78 years old, and is survived by a husband, Benjamin Laforme and one daughter, Mrs. W.C. Meginley, the latter of South Norfolk. She was a native of Virginia and has resided her all of her life and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was a consistent member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, from which the funeral will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. W.A. Smith, will officiate, and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. ********************************************************************* The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah F. Laforme, who died Saturday morning at her home, 918 Liberty street, was conducted from the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. W.A. Smith, pastor of the church, officiated. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The pallbearers were Messrs. S.W. Pierce, J.A. McKimmey, C.J. Brown, J.L. Riggs, R.K. Spry and J.F. Sawyer.
