Laforme, one of the oldest and best known citizens of Berkley ward, died yesterday afternoon at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. W.C. Meginley, in Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, after an illness of several days. The deceased was a Confederate veteran and was highly respected. The wife of the deceased died about three years ago. He was 79 years old and resided in Berkley ward until recently. The funeral will be conducted from the above residence Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. *************************************************** The funeral of the late Benjamin F. Laforme was conducted from the residence of his son-in-law, W.C. Meginley, in South Norfolk, yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Q.C. Davis, pastor of the church, officiated, and the interment was in Magnolia cemetery. The pallbearers were Joseph Hutchins, L.M. Nicholas, Joseph Fentress, Thomas Sykes, Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Gray.
