Virginian-Pilot  September 1, 1933
Mrs. Isabella P. Lagana, aged 32, wife of Joseph F. Lagana, and daughter of 
Antonio and Mary Vita Panella, died yesterday morning at 2 o’clock at the 
residence, 212 East Fortieth street, Riverview. Mrs. Lagana was a native of 
Portsmouth and had been a resident of Norfolk for 30 years. She was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and of Thomas Jefferson Association No. 397. 
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by three brothers, Frank J., 
Joseph A., and John J. Panella. Requiem mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
