Lamb, Norfolk Negro contractor and builder, died yesterday at 2:05 a.m. at her 1004 Rugby Street home. The daughter of John H. Sr., and Mrs. Margaret Cernick Douglass, of Norfolk, she was educated in the public schools of this city and graduated from the Norfolk Mission College in 1894. She taught for a few years in the church school of the St. John's A.M.E. Church and alter in Princess Anne and Norfolk counties. She was a lifelong member of the St. John's Church and worked for years in the Allen Christian Endeavor League. She was a member of Bible Union, No. 1, the Household of Ruth, and of the Lindenwood Neighborhood Club. She is survived by her widower; one son, Melvin S. Lamb; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Shirley Lamb; one brother, John H. Douglass; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in calvary Cemetery.
