NORFOLK - Mrs. Charity Lamb of 1041 Johnston Road, the widow of Owen W. Lamb, 
died Thursday in a hospital.

She was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Annie Walker of Norfolk, Mrs. Fannie L. 
Cofer of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Ophelia Wynn of Philadelphia; three sons, George 
Drew Sr. of Norfolk, and Charlie Drew and Booker T. Lamb of Philadelphia; a 
sister, Mrs. Maggie Ruffin of Portsmouth; 22 grandchildren; and 37 great-
grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Mount Gilead Baptist 
Church by the Rev. Raymond Dean. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family 
will be at Twilight Funeral Home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and will assemble at 
her home at noon on Sunday.
