John R. and Mrs. Ella George Fitchett Waddy, died Tuesday at 11 a.m. at a Portsmouth hospital. Mrs. Lamb was a native of Northampton County and had been a resident of Portsmouth for eight years, residing at 4 Court St. at the time of her death. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph B. Magraw of New York; two sons, William and Henry Whiting Lamb Jr., both of Hackensack, N.J.; two granddaughters, a step-grandson, and several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edward P. Brooke of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. I. Keith Briggs of Richmond, and Mrs. Ralph H. Riddleberger of Woodstock. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. John's Episcopal Church, Portsmouth, for services Thursday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rt. Rev. Wm. A. Brown, D.D., retired bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, and the Rev. Roderick Jackson, rector. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
