Norfolk - Funeral services were held Tuesday at Riddick’s Funeral Service for
Melvin S. Lamb of 2519 Ruffin street with the Rev. Otis Wynn, pastor of First
United Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of John L. Lamb and the late Mrs. Carrie
Douglass Lamb, and husband of Mrs. Janie C. Lamb.  He died in Norfolk Community
Hospital August 7 after a long illness.

Besides his father and widow, he is survived by a son, Melvin Lamb of New York,
a daughter, Mrs. Harriett L. Parham, a sister, Mrs. Margaret L. Drake, a nephew,
Edwin S. Shirley III, three aunts, Misses Lucille and Bertha Douglass and Mrs.
Amy L Cuffee, and an uncle, John H. Douglass.
