Lamb The funeral of this lamented lady took place from her residence on West Bute Street yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, and was attended by a very large number of our citizens, Rev. N.A. Okeson, rector of St. Paul’s, read the impressive funeral service of the Episcopal Church, at the conclusion of which the coffin was borne to the hearse by six colored bearers, and the imposing funeral cortege formed and moved toward Cedar Grove Cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pall-bearers: C.W. Newton, Richard Dickson, James Y. Leigh, Captain Jacob Vickery, Charles Sharp, Major W.H. Smith, R.H. Baker and W.S. Camp. Arriving at the grave the solemn burial service was read, after which dust was committed to dust, ashes to ashes.
