NORFOLK — Mrs. Mary Carter Lambert, 85, of 1516 Kingston Ave., widow of Capt. 
James F. Lambert, and daughter of Richard and Mrs. Amanda Leslie Carter, died in 
her home Sunday at 6:55 p.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses 
Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elsie M. Wright, Mrs. Amanda Spencer and 
Miss Ruth Lambert, all of Norfolk, and Mrs. Audrey Silvers of Sanford, Fla.; 
three sons, Edward Y. Lambert and James R. Lambert, both of Norfolk and Hillary 
E. Lambert of Santa Rosa, Calif., eleven grandchildren; and 21 great-
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at noon. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
