NORFOLK - William Lewis Lamerdin Jr., 64, of 1214 Daniel Ave., a son of Mrs. 
Verna Halstead Lamerdin and the late William L. Lamerdin, died in a hospital 
Wednesday.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he attended Cornell University and was a former 
plant manager with J. G. Wilson Corp.
At his death, he was a sales engineer for the Industrial Division of Newport 
News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., having been with the firm more than 30 years.
He was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He is survived, by 
his mother and several cousins.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery 
for a funeral service Friday at noon by the Rev. A. Heath Light.
The family has asked that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the 
SPCA.
