VIRGINIA BEACH

Police have identified two men who died in car crashes Saturday and charged the 
driver in one of them with manslaughter.

Just before 5:30 p.m., a 2000 Lincoln traveling west in the 2800 block of Ansol 
Lane crossed the eastbound lane and ran off the left shoulder, striking several 
trees, according to police.

The driver and a passenger were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening 
injuries.

The third occupant, Robert M. Lancaster, 44, of the 9500 block of 6th Bay St. in 
Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Michael D. McIntyre, 35, of the 9600 block of 19th Bay St. in Norfolk, has been 
charged with involuntary manslaughter, driving under the influence and driving on 
a suspended license, according to police. He is being held in jail without bond.
