Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Saturday July 14, 1934
Mrs. Phebe Frances Land, aged 66 years, wife of Thomas S. Land, and daughter 
of the late John W. and Sarah Whitehead Craft, died at 3:45 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the residence, 1713 De Bree avenue.  Mrs. Land was a 
native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of Norfolk for the 
past 22 years.  Besides her husband, she is survived by one granddaughter, 
Miss Virginia Land Bonney, of Rocky Mount, N.C.
Services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East 
Freemason street, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. Joseph S. 
Gresham, pastor of Colonial Avenue M.E. Church, of which Mrs. Land was a 
member, officiating.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
