Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 2,1970
Norfolk - A funeral service was held April 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Second Calvary 
Baptist Church for Mrs. Martha Land of 1706 Vine street.  Burial followed in 
Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.

The Norfolk county native was a daughter of the late John and Mrs. Lucy Palmer 
and the widow of Sam Land.  She was an honor deaconess and an honor missionary at 
Second Calvary Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Miss Ruth Land, of Norfolk.
