VIRGINIA BEACH — Herbert Marvin Land, 83, of 340 Lynn Shores Drive, died Monday in 
a nursing home. He was a native of Norfolk and the widower of Viola Pritt Land.
He had retired from Seaboard Coast Line Railroad. He was a member of Epworth 
United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a sister, Louise L. Stewart of Norfolk.
The graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery. The 
procession will leave from Cox Funeral Home.
