Virginian-Pilot August 24, 1914
Mrs. Olivia Jane Land died at her home, 712 Mariner street, yesterday morning at 
2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Land was the widow of Bennett B. Land. She was 71 years old. 
The funeral will take place from the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Mrs. Land had been sick for about three weeks. She was a native of Princess Anne 
county, but had lived in Norfolk for 35 years. She was well known locally and was 
held in high esteem.
Mrs. Land is survived by two sisters, Mrs. I. V. Beha of Washington, D.C., and 
Mrs. John L. Wood of Elizabeth City, N.C.; also by two granddaughters, Lillian F. 
Land and Piccola Land of Norfolk.
