Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch April 23, 1926
Mrs. Sarah Frances Land, 75 years old, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. 
C. D. Walden, Georgia and Commonwealth avenues, yesterday afternoon at 3:15 
o'clock. She was the widow of Andrew J. Land and a daughter of the late Patrick 
and Mrs. Amy C. Newman. She was born in Princess Anne county and had made her home 
in this section all her life. Surviving her are three daughters: Mrs. George T. 
Fairer, Mrs. C. D. Walden, of Ingleside, and Mrs. H. A. Crutchnow, of Emporia; a 
sister, Mrs. Jaky Stone, Princess Anne county, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence of 
Mrs. Walden. Rev. W. T. Green, pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate. 
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
