The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday November 29, 1937
Clayton D. Land, aged 76, died yesterday morning at 6:40 o'clock at the home of 
his son. H. Clayton Land, 1900 Canton Avenue, Campostella Heights, after a long 
illness. A son of Tully and Sarah Wright Land, he was a native of Princess Anne 
County and had resided in this section 45 years. In addition to his son he is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret F. Land, and several nieces and nephews. He 
was a member of Memorial Methodist Church.
The body was removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake Avenue, 
South Norfolk, where funeral services will take place this afternoon at 3 
o'clock. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
