The Norfolk Landmark, Thurs. March 21, 1901


A very sorrowful occurrence was the death of the infant child of Mr. George 
Land, of Thirty-Ninth Street, at 11:30 yesterday. The child being only 20 days 
old, Mr. Land having had no physician in attendance, was compelled to have the 
death certificate filled out by the Coroner, who relieved the anxiety of the 
distracted parents by his signature, saying he deemed an inquest unnecessary.
