Land and son of the late Thomas A. and Mrs. Margaret Brinson Land, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 8:45 o’clock. He was a native of New Bern, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for the past 86 years, residing at 1216 Moran Avenue at the time of his death. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Woodmen of the World. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. F. Blesner, of New York City; Mrs. H. T. Bigland, of Norfolk, and Mrs. M. H. Austin, of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Nelson, of New Bern, and Mrs. Emmett Witt, of Washington, and four brothers, Claude and T. E. Land, both of New Bern, and J. O. and Roy Land, both of Washington. The body will be taken from the H, D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H. D.
