NORFOLK - Mrs. Frances Bray Land, 84, of 2830 Somme Ave., died in her home 
Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
A native of Arapahoe, N.C., she lived here most of her life. She was a member of 
Christ the King Catholic Church.
She was the widow of Clarence E. Land and a daughter of Levi and Mrs. Sarah 
Brinson Bray.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Land Beisner of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Agnew L. Austin of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Lienster D. Bray of Norfo1k; six 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The Office of the Dead will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Sunday at 
7:30 p.m.
A Requiem Mass will be said in Christ the King Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
