VIRGINIA BEACH - Paul Washington Land, 66, of 4208 John Silver Road, Baylake 
Pines, husband of the late Mrs. Rafaelita Sanchez Land and son of George 
Washington Land and Mrs. Angie Walters Land, died in a hospital Friday at 8:30 
p.m.
He was a lifelong resident of this area.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Juanita H. Carper of Arlington; four sons, 
Richard D. Land of Norfolk, Ralph J. Land and George S. Land, of Bowie, Md., and 
Paul A. Land of Virginia Beach; seven sisters Mrs. Rosta Hartley, Mrs. Mae L. 
Brumley, Mrs. Edith L. Wilson and Mrs. Laverna L. Whitehurst
of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Doris L. Brown of Cape Coral, Fla., Mrs. Lucille L. 
Grennell of Saudi Arabia and Mrs. Irene L. Steven of Norfolk; and two brothers, 
Cecil P. Land and Virgil H. Land of Virginia Beach. The body was taken to H. D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments in Norfolk.
