Norfolk - Elder John Thomas Lane of 135 Mahone avenue died in a hospital.

A native of North Carolina, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Lula Lane and a 
son of the late Elijah and Mrs. Cloe Lane.

He was a trustee of St. Paul Church of God in Christ.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Geneva N. Wilford of Norfolk;  two grandsons;  
and four great-granddaughters.

A funeral service was held in St. Paul Church of God in Christ, Campostella.  
Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Pretlow’s Funeral Home in charge.
